Is Amazon FBA dead or not?

I know this sounds like a stupid question, a form of business can't really be dead, what I'm really asking is if there's still profit to be made if you don't have 13 hours to grind everyday and 5 figures of capital to put in. From this sub specifically (I don't really trust any other sources because its mostly all gurus who want to sell courses) I see the same amount of "FBA IS DEAD AND ALL YOU CAN DO AS A NEW SELLER IS LOSE MONEY" as "HOLY SHIT I JUST IMPORTED THREE PIECES OF PRINTER PAPER AND MADE 12K IN THE FIRST DAY WITH ONLY 2 HOURS OF WORK." I just don't know what the current state of FBA is.

We manufacture our own creative products with copyrighted designs and text and the manufacturing process isn’t turnkey. So, we have no competition and happy customers.

Generally the people I see complaining about FBA are those trying to resell products they’ve found on Alibaba or are otherwise unoriginal. In those instances I can see that being difficult because you’re just one of many.

I think sellers and customers alike would do better if more sellers were creators and that’s where sellers can have a better relationship with FBA.

I don’t need to scroll through 15 of the exact same cutting boards with different labels and sellers don’t need to exhaust their profits to advertise themselves to the top of the list of 15 identical cutting boards.
